Itchon wrote about how her grandfather’s family made a living during the war years.

Itchon won an Apple 64GB iPad for her story “Dodong’s War,”, story of how a family survived during the Japanese occupation by making soap, as told by 86-year-old Filomeno A. Bautista Jr.
