A LOCAL history enthusiast yesterday said he may have stumbled on fragments of valuable clayware and other debris believed buried after a conflagration in Divisoria exactly 42 years ago today.

I scanned this photo published at the front page of a local daily and based on its caption, authorities are now investigating the alleged destruction of century-old stones at the old cemetery site owned by the Iglesia Filipina Independente (IFI) along Hayes St. near Xavier University. The said stones are reportedly considered artifacts.

EXPERTS are now looking into the possibility of an early settlement near the St. Augustine Cathedral and city hall following the discovery of artifacts believed to be of foreign origins.
