President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. has signed Executive Order No. 07 allowing the voluntary wearing of face masks in indoor and outdoor settings through out the country.
However, the EO signed October 28, 2022 also states that wearing of face masks remains mandatory in the following areas:
- Healthcare facilities (clinics, hospitals, laboratories, nursing homes, dialysis clinics, etc)
- Medical transport vehicles (ambulance, paramedic rescue vehicles)
- Public transportation by land, air or sea
Meanwhile, elderlies, those with comorbidities, immunocompromised individuals, pregnant women, unvaccinated individuals and symptomatic individuals are encouraged to wear masks.
