Buntod Cave located at Sitio Langag, Brgy Dansolihon, Cagayan de Oro City is being considered as a potential tourism site. This following an assessment report by the Cave Management Technical Working Group (TWG) led by Engr. Armen Cuenca which was turned over to City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy.

Accordingly, assessment by the TWG of Buntod Cave along with 8 other caves was conducted in June 2022.

The TWG is composed of representatives of Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 10 – PENRO, CENRO, Department of Tourism, City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (Clenro), City Tourism Council, City Engineering Office ug City Planning and Development Office.

It can be recalled that the cave complex in Langag, Dansolihon was among several caves and waterfalls in the city which Rep. Rufus Rodriguez wanted to be declared as ecotourism sites. See below.
