With the relaxing of restrictions related to the pandemic, Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Roger Abaday is calling for the review of the city ordinance which mandates all establishments in the city to require QR Code of all individuals entering their premises. In fact, many entities now prefer the vaccine card instead of the QR Code. Do you agree with his proposal?
In his report to the City Council, Abaday said he made this recommendation after some parents complained to him that two unnamed schools refused entry to students who do not have QR Code.
It can be recalled that the scanning of the Higala App QR Code was made a requirement beginning April 1, 2021 in entering all establishments in the city including malls, supermarkets, stores, hotels, banks, offices and other enclosed entities as a tool for contact tracing. Read our post below.
