Cagayan de Oro City’s Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) which now consists of 78 routes has been completed and will now be subject for review by the 20th City Council and enactment into an ordinance. This was first revealed by Road Traffic Administration (RTA) head Engr. Nonito Oclarit during the Northern Mindanao Road Transport Conference held last September 9 at Amaya View in Indahag, this city.

The number of routes in the LPTRP (78) increased significantly from the current 53 because as per Engr. Oclarit, many areas are not being served by public transport which led to the prolifieration of illegal mass transport such as “habal-habal” and tricabs. Watch below.

The city’s LPTRP was approved by the Land Transportation Franchising & Regulatory Board (LTFRB) of the Department of Transportation (DOTR) last June 20, 2022 thru Board Resolution No. 132, Series of 2022. Read below.
