Kate Bobadilla missed a layup in the dying seconds as the Philippines’ Women Under-18 squad fell short against Malaysia, 65-66 in overtime yesterday, in the semifinals FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship Division B in Bangalore, India. They face Samoa for the bronze medal today.

With the loss, Gilas Women’s hopes of being promoted to Division A were dashed. Bobadilla led Gilas with 19 points while Ashley Loon had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
