The first ever TOURIST SERVICE CENTER and REST AREA in Northern Mindanao will soon rise in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, more specifically near the Centennial Plaza at the back of the Municipal Gym. Personnel of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) conducted a site inspection yesterday, September 9, 2022.
According to TIEZA Engr. Angeli Movilla, the facility will cost around P 7 million and will be funded by the Department of Tourism (DOT). It will be one of only ten of its kind in the country.
Sangguniang Bayan Member and Conmittee Chair on Tourism Rina E. Quiño said the project is very timely because they had just conducted validation of existing and potential tourism in the town’s 22 barangays.
For his part, Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño thanked the DOT on the project and offered to take TIEZA personnel on a guided tour in the municipality’s top tourist destinations.
