Construction of the bridge component of the 4-lane New CDO West Diversion Road is now underway. Here are some latest aerial shots of the segment of the new road opening specifically along the periphery of Golden Haven and the bridge construction near Centro Iponan.
As a review, this new alternate road begins in Canitoan and runs parallel with Macapagal Drive then along LTO-X office and connects at Coastal Road (Kauswagan-Igpit Diversion Road). As shown in the map below, the circled area is where we made aerial updates in the preceeding sections of this post.
This is looking south. Note the already cemented 4-lane road with island which makes a turn near the boundary of Golden Haven property.
You can already observe the road alignment.
And this alignment crosses Iponan River.
You can observe one of the bridge piers.
Installation of concrete bridge girders are shown at right.
Here’s a closer shot.
This area is already part of Iponan since it is along the western bank of the river.
The construction at the moment is up to this point only.
The bridge is expected to cross the river for the second time before proceeding straight to the National Highway in Bulua somewhere near the LTO junction.
This below is again looking south showing the under construction bridge and Golden Haven at left.
