About five hectares of the 17-hectare Cagayan de Oro City Eco-Park located in Upper Dagong, Carmen is being considered as a potential site for the Chinatown project that was raised during the recent visit by Chinese consulate officials City last Monday, August 15. City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy confirmed this during a radio program at a local radio station this city. He said the project is a potential tourist attraction.

Mayor Uy said during the visit by Consul General Li Lin and Consul Charo Jianwei of the People’s Republic of China, they asked for an area where they can build a Chinatown and he offered a five-hectare site at the Eco-Park.
