Good news for motorists in Cagayan de Oro. The southbound lane of Corrales Avenue at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) near CM Recto Junction has been re-opened to traffic. However, a section of the outer lane near the hospital’s side entrance will remain closed as hospital management reportedly requested the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) three more weeks to transfer the large tents to its front gate.
It can be recalled that the southbound lanes were closed to traffic at the start of the pandemic in 2020 with only emergency and medical vehicles allowed to enter. During the closure period, all southbound vehicles coming from Corrales Extension were re-routed to Capt. Vicente Roa Street.
