The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) has worked out a marketing agreement with the Lantapan Vegetable Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative to assist the individual farmers and producers of tomatoes in the region with possible market tie-ups with their existing partnership with Agri Global Ventures, which offers a better price. This following the trending photos of tomatoes dumped in Lantapan, Bukidnon after it went unsold in Cagayan de Oro City.

Just a couple of weeks earlier last June 20, 2022, DA-RFO 10 signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Makati-based Agri Global Ventures Food, Inc. and the Lantapan Vegetable Farmers Marketing Cooperative (LVFMC) to provide market opportunities to farmers cooperative and associations. The agreement allows LVFMC to produce and deliver their fruits and vegetables from their production area in Lantapan, Bukidnon to the Laguindingan Airport while AgriGlobal will be buying the cooperative’s products for a year or longer, depending on the needs of the company, on a cash-to-cash basis.
