In case you still don’t know it yet, the 60.40-kilometer New Iligan-Bukidnon Diversion Road is now passable. Some portions though are still under construction but motorcycles, SUVs and pick-up trucks can already pass through. The new mountain pass will cut travel time from Iligan to Bukidnon and vice versa from 3.5 hours to only 1.5 hours without passing through Cagayan de Oro.
The diversion road starts at Brgy Sta. Filomena and traverses mountain villages of Bonbonon, Digkilaan and Rogongon and connects to Route 945 in Talakag, Bukidnon at Ticalaan Crossing. See route below.
