A netizen’s post in Facebook in 2016 about an ancestral house in Baliangao, Misamis Occidental suddenly reached more than 100 shares right after Bongbong Marcos (BBM) presumptively won the presidential election. Neil Ryan Encabo Manigsaca’s posted last May 4, 2016 in the FB Group ‘Ancestral House of the Philippines’ photos of the Bagundol House in Baliangao, Misamis Occcidental and reportedly, it was where the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos took refuge during World War II.

As per Manigsaca, the Ancestral House of the Bagundol Family which was built in 1930 is located in Brgy. Mitakas, Baliangao, Misamis Occidental. Accordingly, it was one of the hiding places of the late President Ferdinand Marcos when he reached the coast of Baliangao after crossing the Mindanao Sea from Siquijor during the second World War.
