Construction continues for Yakult El Salvador Plant located in Barangay Quibonbon, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. Targeted to start operations in January 2023 with an initial production capacity of 1.6 million bottles of Yakult and Yakult Light daily, the nearly 4.2-hectare property is larger than its 3-hectare pioneering plant in Calamba, Laguna.

The upcoming plant will be expanded subsequently to its maximum production capacity of 3.2 million bottles per day.

Structural works are still ongoing for its main manufacturing building.

Hundreds of workers are hired during construction phase.

More will be hired once the plant starts operations next year.

Other project components are still beng constructed as well.

The plant is shown in the foreground with Asia Brewery Inc. complex in the background.

At the rate of construction, the target January 2023 start of operations is well within sight.
