If you’re a milktea fanatic, you should know that Chingkeetea, Cagayan de Oro’s homegrown milktea shop pioneered the milktea craze in the city way back in 2012. Its original shop inside Marfori Compound along Pabayo Street became a landmark not just for its signature wintermelon milktea but also due to its iconic artwork on its walls making the store a virtually life-sized scrapbook. It also became a benchmark for other milktea shops particularly on interior design.

With increasing demand for its milktea, Chingkeetea opened a new branch at Grand Central (Hayes Street). However, the original shop had to close and transferred at the Pimentel Ancestral House along Hayes Street (beside the old Viajeros) then relocated again along Velez-Gaerlan. Now on its 10th year, homegrown Chingkeetea also has branches at Centrio Ayala Mall and in Macasandig (Tomas Saco) as well as in Cebu and Iligan.
