Basketball league veterans, collegiate standouts and homegrown talent lead the Cagayan de Oro Higalas in the inaugural season of the Pilipinas Super League which kicks off tomorrow, March 18, 2022 at the Dipolog Sports Complex in Dipolog City.
With Head Coach Edgardo “Pong” Dacoco, the team has league veterans in former UE Red Warrior Lordy Casajeros, former Adamson Falcon Janus Lozada, former PBA player Jopher Custodio and PBA D-League veteran Mar Villahermosa.
The team also has former collegiate standouts Ronnel Lastimosa of National University, John Tayongtong of Emilio Aguinaldo College, Red Louis Cachuela of Southwestern University, Nichole Ubalde from University of San Jose Recoletos who are all from Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental.
Local talents include Paul Dela Peña, Richard Kwong, Jhunry Menaling and Jerome Menaling.
