The new 7,000-seat capacity QUEZON CIVIC ARENA will soon rise in Barangay Libertad, Quezon, Bukidnon. This after Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” F. Zubiri and Municipal Mayor Pablo Lorenzo III led the official groundbreaking ceremony of the project held last February 10 together with DPWH Assistant District Engr. Manuel Varias and other local officials.
The arena will be constructed at the new Municipal Government Complex in Barangay Libertad, near local government offices, public service buildings, the central market and business district of the town. It will serve as a multipurpose sports facility with an estimated 7,000 seating capacity and will feature two basketball or volleyball courts and a covered track.
The Quezon Civic Arena has a total budget of P130 million, P50 million of which is funded by Senator Zubiri, another P50 million from Senator Bong Go and P30 million from Senator Sonny Angara. Browse photos below during the groundbreaking event.
