The temporary site most probably for the engineering field office and construction materials area is now set in preparation for the demolition of the existing western abutment of Kagay-an Bridge. Expect heavy traffic in the area when traffic flow will be rerouted to the 2-lane temporary detour.
A new bridge structure allowing the river to flow beneath will replace the existing abutment.

The large crane will be used to carry either the demolished bridge structure or the new one.

This area was submerged when the river overflowed during the recent Typhoon Odette.

The new river dike will now be built along Acacia Street.

Meanwhile, the temporary detour is now almost done and is already connected to the bridge.

Traffic flow will be diverted to this temporary road when demolition of the abutment starts.

Most likely, there will be some changes in the traffic scheme in the area during rush hours.

There is no info disclosed yet as to the start of the detour.
