After several months, the lights are back at the Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge making it easier and safer for motorists to pass the bridge. However, a long stretch of the bridge approach remains partially lighted.
With the bridge lights back, you can now see vehicles, both moving and parked and pedestrians.
It can be recalled that the bridge approach in Kauswagan was elevated as part of the Flood Risk Management Project.
The elevated approach is now done with the final short segment already concreted but still closed to traffic.
But while the bridge is already illuminated, the approach is just partly lighted along the westbound side. Poles for lighting fixtures are still being installed on the other side as construction of the railings is still ongoing. See below.
Traffic has improved along the route as only about 20 meters of the center lanes near CDO Hardware remain closed due to road concreting. But the road concreting is already doen and we expect the remaining lanes to be opened to traffic in a few days time.
