There is no significant progress update on the construction of the 5.37-kilometer Iligan Coastal Road Project as of October 2021. As shown in this latest aerial survey by TRip ni Tonio, aside from the piers of the Mandulog Bridge 3 (viaduct) linking Bayug Island to Barangay Santiago, the length of the completed portion has not changed since last year.

You can observe some “greens” on the reclaimed portion which means plants have already grown on the site indicating no earthmoving has been done for a long period of time.

The first phase of the project would stretch from Barangay Santa Filomena to Barangay Tomas Cabili, passing through the coastal areas of barangays Canaway, Saray, Poblacion and Tambacan. See below.
