Here’s some good news! CAMIGUIN will now be accepting tourists beginning October 25, 2021. Only fully vaccinated tourists shall be permitted to enter the province. This was anounced by Governor Jurdin Jesus Romualdo during the recent Serbisyong PPR radio program as the province gears up in boosting its local economy badly affected by the pandemic. An executive order regarding the guidelines is now being drafted.

Gov. Romualdo stressed that as part of the preparation, all workers of resorts and restaurants have to be fully vaccinated as well as tourist guides and vendors in tourist sites to ensure protection for both the tourists and the locals of the province.

Further, only 40% or about 800 tourists will be initially accommodated by the province. Gov. Romualdo saiud this can be easily monitored through hotel and resort bookings. Meanwhile, a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result is also required prior to entry in the province.
