Gingoog City Vice Mayor Peter Unabia has officially filed his Certificate of Candidacy for Governor of Misamis Oriental today, October 5, 2021. Incumbent Vice Governor Jeremy Jonahmar “Jigjag” Pelaez will seek reelection as Unabia’s running mate. Meanwhile, Governor Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Emano will vie for the province’s 2nd District Representative and incumbent 1st District Rep. Christian Unabia will seek reelection for the same post. All are running under the Padayon Pilipino political party.
