The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals-BCBP will be celebrating the month of October 2021 as the “Be Honest Month”. This is the main advocacy of the brotherhood which is to promote the value of honesty. The City Council of Cagayan de Oro has supported the campaign by issuing a resolution declaring October 2021 as the “Be Honest Month”.

As a background, BCBP is a community that aims to bring Christ in the marketplace. The group gathers regularly every Saturday for a breakfast meeting where everyone listens to a brothers’ and sisters’ experience in encountering Christ, the challenges they have met in pursuing change and the fulfillment they felt for conquering trials. The group admits they are still a work in progress, thus, they continue the journey to be better children of God with the guidance of His words, His teachings and His life. This is in the hope that they touch other people’s lives and ultimately change the face of business.

One of the highlights of this celebration is the recognition of Top 3 Honest Kagay-anon Awardee. This was discussed by Mr. Willy Alcantar, BCBP CDO West Formation Director, during his guesting in Magnum Radio and Bombo Radyo last September 28 and in 92.5 FM yesterday, September 30 where the group has asked their assistance to recommend ordinary citizens who have done exemplary act of honesty in the midsts of adversities.

If you wish to submit entries, please contact Magnum Radio, Melissa Baculio at 0917 345 5014 or Tessa Tagle at 09271358706.

BCBP believes that there is always goodness in every person, when recognised will encourage and inspire others to do the same. With this, BCBP wishes to embed the value honesty in every Kagay-anon, for unity, strength and hope.

A billboard will be put up along Marcos Bridge to commemorate the call to Honesty.
