Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Ryan Uy and Manolo Fortich Mayor Clive Quiño led the groundbreaking ceremony of the country’s first Government Communications Academy (GCA), the first state-of-the-art training facility for government media workers and information officers within the compound of the Northern Bukidnon State College (NSBC) in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon last Monday, September 27, 2021.

The Php79.4 million facility will be built on a 10,000-square-meter land within NSBC and includes a two-storey main building, a parking lot, as well as the general landscaping of the surrounding open area which will be implemented in phases. The academy will serve as a training facility for government media workers and information officers from barangays and national government agencies.

The facility will also be open to media workers in the private sector who also want to take part in the training programs.
