Construction is now in full blast for Yakult El Salvador (Y.E.S.), the company’s second manufacturing facility in the country located in Barangay Quibonbon, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
By the way, in case you’re still not familiar with the location, the factory is just along the Barangay Road approximately 1.2 kilometers from the National Highway. See map below.
As shown below, the plant’s main columns are now slowly rising.
The project area covers 4.2 hectares.
Yakult El Salvador is reportedly larger than its pioneering plant in Calamba, Laguna.

The upcoming plant is targeted to start operations in January 2023 with a maximum daily production capacity of 3.2 million bottles of its mainstay Yakult and low-calorie Yakult Light. It will initially produce 1.6 million bottles of Yakult and Yakult Light daily, and the company plans to expand its facilities depending on demand.
