The Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) New York Chapter recently gave out food packs to 250 indigent parishioners of San Antonio Parish, Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro City. This year’s theme is “Alay Kapwa, Handog sa inyu ng PAMET New York”.
PAMET New York thru its President Annabelle Lui Pancho, a New York-based Kagayanon working as medical technologist along with her fellow medical technologists from all over the Philippines decided to donate their funds to the poor and deserving people of Cagayan de Oro as their beneficiaries.
Monsignor Cirilo Isnani, the parist priest of San Antonio Parish in his video message for PAMET officers and members, said he is deeply grateful for the distribution of food packs for his parishioners at this distressing time of pandemic. He also emphasized that helping others through food packs is an example of Corporal works of mercy by feeding the hungry.
This project is an inspiration to all the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) who extend compassion and help to their fellow kababayans back home and a means of sharing blessings to others.
