Leopoldo Serantes, who won a bronze medal, the country’s lone medal during the 1988 Summer Olympics ending a 24-year medal drought, will be getting a Php100,000.00 lifetime monthly allowance courtesy of Chooks-to-Go.
Serantes, now 59, is currently bedridden at the Philippine Veterans Hospital due to serious pulmonary and heart ailment. His family is barely able to make both ends meet due to his daily medical needs.
Serantes is the latest Olympic hero feted by Chooks-to-Go after Mansueto “Onyok” Velasco.
