Chooks-to-Go has given 1996 Summer Olympics silver medalist Mansueto “Onyok” Velasco Jr. his own store for his service to the country.

Chooks-to-Go president Ronald Mascariñas surpised Velasco after inviting him to his office and gave him with a Chooks-to-Go store that is located in Litex Road, Quezon City. he also gave an additional P100,000 for his long-delayed honeymoon in Boracay with his wife May.

Retired basketball player Benjie Paras was present to give him a Chooks-to-Go jacket.

Velasco, now 47, was very vocal lately for not being able to get the incentives promised by the government after winning the silver medal 25 years ago in Atlanta including the P2.5-million incentive from Congress and the Philippine Navy scholarship for his children, and the supposed lifetime P10,000 monthly incentive.

Velasco was very grateful to finally have a business he can call his own.

Congratulations Onyok!
