Fifteen-year old Kiara Therese Zaldivar Montebon from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines finished in the Top 8 out of 100 participants in the 15-18 year old girls category in the recently concluded US Kids Golf World Teen Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA.


Kiara scored a 9 over par three round total (78-72-75) in one of the biggest junior golf tournaments in America with over 1,200 attendees worldwide this year. She is the only Filipino to join the World Teen Championship boys and girls division.


This is her 5th in the series of summer tournament here in the US which started in June 21. She is now preparing for next week’s tournament in Duke University Golf Course, HJGT College Series in the 15-18 yo girls category. When asked about her takeaway for this big tournament, she says: “I am happy I am in Top 10 but I still need to practice some more. So much to improve on my game.”
