According to Dr. Jasper Kent Ola, cluster head of the Regional Epidemiology Surveillance and Disaster Response Unit of the Department of Health in Northern Mindanao (DOH-10), the suspects’ Covid-19 test results were found to be fake after verification with the private hospital where the two claimed to have undergone swab tests did not have any records of them being tested. Further, the laboratory code numbers used by the two passengers were owned by other individuals, whose results were released in 2020. The DOH is now investigating the source of the fake RT-PCR results. The Province of Bohol requires negative RT-PCR test results for inbound travelers.
