The P37.763 million Iligan City Wet Park has just been turned over to the City Government. Located in Bagong Silang near the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Office, the city-owned park provides some recreation needs of Iliganons as well as helps impound rainwater and minimize the usual amount of flooding in low-lying neighboring areas.
As of date, completed are the Entrance Signage, Comfort room (male & female), Activity area w/ seating, Mini playground, two lagoons (6 feet deep) & activity area pond (5 feet) for water impounding during heavy rains, 7 Cottages, Pumping station, Solar LED streetlights with sensors and Park Lamp Post with warm lighting. Still ongoing are the stage, concrete bleachers & pathways. Accordingly, the park will be officially opened once all amenities have been completed.
