Chess prodigy Ruelle Canino ruled two categories leading the young woodpushers from Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental in the just concluded Hybrid National Youth & Schools Chess Championships held on Tornelo platform from June 14 to 17, 2021.

The bemedalled Canino became champion both in the under 15 (7 wins, 2 draws) and under 13 girls category (8 wins, 2 draws).

Meanwhile, 11-year old Lila Alyssa Seriña also from Cagayan de Oro City topped the under 11 girls category finishing with 7 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss.
