The establishment of fish ports in nine coastal villages in Cagayan de Oro City are being proposed to provide an avenue for trade and access to consumers for small-time fisherfolks in the said areas.

The city’s two congressmen, Rufus B. Rodriguez and Rolando “Klarex” A. Uy both co-authored bills for the establishment of fish ports in barangays Bulua, Bayabas, Bonbon, Macabalan, Lapasan, Cugman, Tablon, Agusan and Puerto. Accordingly, said house bills are still pending with the House Committee on Aquaculture and Fisheries Resources. Screenshots of the house bills are shown below with download links of full text.
