The Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force in Bukidnon have agreed to pass a resolution addressed to the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force and the National Inter-Agency Task Force to raise the Quarantine status in the province from Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) to counter the rising Covid-19 cases in the province.

In a virtual emergency meeting yesterday, May 27, 2021, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Gary Guido C. Tabios, Jr. stated that Bukidnon recorded a 155% increase in active Covid cases with 739 from last week’s 526 which is now considered as high risk as basis for the resolution.

Meanwhile, the PIATF is also planning to impose a province-wide liquor ban, unified curfew, restriction of interzonal travel, and other measures.
