Mantigue is that small 4-hectare island some 3.5-kilometers off the weastern coast of Camiguin in the Philippines. It is a circular island of greenery surrounded by sandy white beach. A protected area and sanctuary for sea turtles, Mantigue is the island you see on the right when you go to Camiguin on a ferry from Balingoan Port in Misamis Oriental.
As shown in these aerial shots courtesy of Elvinov Kerolenko Simenesky, the island is surrounded by coral formations making it ideal for snorkeling and diving.
As of now, Camiguin is still not accepting outsiders due to the pandemic. But hopefully soon….
