M/V Trans Asia 21, the newest brand-new vessel of Trans-Asia Shipping Lines Inc. has finally arrived in Cebu today, May 16, 2021 after a 4-day trip from Japan and will soon serve a primary route most probably the Cebu-Cagayan de Oro route.
The 123-meter long RoRo passenger (RoPax) vessel has a gross registered tonnage (GRT) of 8,800 tons and can carry a total of 1,085 passengers, 24 buses and 11 trucks. It has a designed top speed of 20.1 knots.
The ship was constructed at the Fukuoka Shipyard in Japan and internationally classified by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK), one of the largest and most reputable ship classification agencies in the world. M/V Trans-Asia 21 completed its sea trials last month.
