Nursing groups who appealed to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte regarding the decision of the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) to postpone the May 2021 Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE) to November 2021 had their prayers answered. This after the PRC reset the said board exam this time to July 3-4, 2021 which is closer to the original date as indicated in their appeal.

Through Resolution No. 1353 dated April 30, 2021, the PRC cited the clamor to reconsider the possibility of conducting the NLE at earlier dates due to the rugent call of the government to augment the workforce of the medical professions, especially the Registered Nurses, on the country’s battle against COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the NLE scheduled in November will be retained. Read below.
