More areas in in Cagayan de Oro City are now covered by DITO Telecommunity Corporation’s wireless network. The telco has not yet started operations in the city though and technical tests are reportedly still ongoing.

In speed tests conducted by netizen Ruel Neri in various areas around the city, both download and upload speeds still vary depending perhaps on the location of DITO facilities. In his Facebook post, he used his Xiaomi BlackShark 3 Nonpro with DITO Sim bought in Cebu City (P199 plus P40 promo 25GB for 30 days).

Among the areas he conducted speed tests include Puntod-Macabalan area (Department of Agriculture), CDO Pier Terminal, SM CDO Downtown Premier, Brgy 26 (CM Recto), Cogon Market area, Ororama Cogon, Maria Reyna Hospital, Macasandig Brgy Hall and St. Mary’s Macasandig.

You can also check if your area already has DITO 4G wireless network by turning OFF the automatic network selection in your mobile phone.

During a radio interview a few weeks back, DITO Chief Administrative Officer Adel Tamano said DITO SIM Cards will soon be available once network service in the area will be operational.
