An oil tanker truck broke down while making a turn along the National Highway in Agusan, Cagayan de Oro City late afternoon today, April 6, 2021 causing heavy traffic in the eastern part of the city particularly for vehicles entering the city. This is the usual problem whenever a truck breaks down and blocks the highway in this part of the city. A parallel highway would have alleviated the incident providing alternate route for motorists. Two of them – the CDO Coastal Road Extension and the Eastern Interior Road are already in the pipeline but completion is still years away.
