With ongoing restrictions still in effect amid the pandemic, Cagayan de Oro City’s Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB) headed by Atty. Jose Edgardo ‘Egay’ Uy has stepped up its monitoring of videoke bars and related establishments with regular conduct of site visitations and surprise inspections.
In a report, RCB stated that Ordinance Violation Receipts (OVR) were issued to non-compliant establishments. It also reminded videoke bar owners and operators that operations of beerhouses and similar establishments remain prohibited even in MGCQ areas.
Meanwhile, restobars which serve both food and alcoholic drinks, although already allowed to partially operate, are still mandated to abide with the DTI Memorandum Circulars which limits the establishments to only allow a maximum of two servings of bottles of alcoholic drinks per customer.
