Brief History
Halseyle Hill used to be a gamefowl farm by former Mayor Jerome P. Lagbas (JPL Farm) where he started breeding fighting cocks in 1997 with a blood line of “Halsey Lemon”, a famous fighting cock bloodline from the late “BoyBoy Roa.” In December 1999, JPL Gamefowl Farm joined a 3-cock derby in Carmen, Agusan del Norte and emerged champion. Coincidentally, Mayor Jerome Lagbas’ 4th child was born on that day and to highlight the successful performance and his winning streak of his fighting cock, he named his daughter “Hasleyle.” Halseyle or simply called “Hals” by her friends grew up to be a lovely and healthy child and resembles the character of the “Halsey Lemon” fighting cock bloodline known for its endurance and superiority. The picturesque hill was positioned at the top most part in Poblacion, Sugbongcogon, with pleasing scenery and stunning view of Camiguin.
