TOROGAN KAPE located at Phoenix Gas Station Compound along Kauswagan Highway corner Tejero Street is the first coffee shop in Cagayan de Oro City which showcases Maranao hospitality, its rich arts and culture serving well-crafted drinks and best-tasting delicacies. And yesterday, March 6, it hosted a rare Kulintang and Agong performance by the Salimpokaw Cultural Ensemble, one of the Semi-Finalists in Pilipinas Got Talent Season 6.
Since it opened in December 2020, Torogan Kape’s Maranao-inspired architecture has been drawing appreciation among passing motorists particularly at night when the lights create a beautiful rendering of the 2-storey building and its interiors.
The coffeeshop’s interiors have a good ambiance conducive for coffee, snacks, meals and even business meetings.
Yesterday’s Salimpokaw Cultural Ensemble performance brought back the sounds of the traditional Maranao folk dance Singkil.
Meanwhile, guests watch closely at the musical exhibition.
Even guests joined the kulintang and agong exhibition after.
