It was a homecoming for Philippine boxing legend and Senator Manny Pacquiao yesterday when he visited his birthplace and humble beginnings in Kibawe, Bukidnon to the delight of local officials and the warm welcome of the homecrowd whom he gave each P1,000, 8 kilos of rice, canned goods and marinated chicken from Chooks-to-Go.
In his Facebook post, Pacquiao posted photos of a local pointing to an area and an old house which many believed to be the place of his birth in the town of Kibawe. Sources state he was born in Barangay Magsaysay, Kibawe.
The good senator has not forgotten his humble beginnings.
Pacquiao arrived via a private helicopter and welcomed by Kibawe Mayor Reynaldo “Jimboy Tebontu” S. Ang Rabanes and later joined by Bukidnon 3rd Dist. Congressman Manuel “Manoy” Zubiri.
