The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro City is now using Facial Recognition Technology particularly in the enrollment of its employees’ credentials.
The technology utilizes a camera and facial recognition capabilities to identify the person, collects information such as time logs, and scans temperature for monitoring. It even tells if a person is not wearing a mask. It also promotes a contactless system much better than biometrics.

Photos below show personnel from the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (VCFA) testing the system.
