Some 266 workers of a Manila-based construction company are now in City Isolation Units (CIU) as a precautionary measure after 22 of their co-workers tested positive for Covid-19. This was confirmed by Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno in today’s daily press briefing.
Meanwhile, all of their families were given food packs by the City Social Welfare and Development Office. Mayor Moreno said their preemptive action would ensure that there won’t be any Covid-19 outbreak in the community. It was also clarified that the company ordered a work stoppage after their employees tested positive for the virus. The city asked the company for their full cooperation that they will still pay the workers (even if they’re not working). More details in the link below.
