Six-year old Maelove Sayta, the innocent girl who was brutally murdered and buried in a muddy field in Bagontaas, Valencia City, Bukidnon was laid to rest today even as City Administrator Genaro Cadigal, Jr. offered cash reward and protection to whoever has information on the suspect.

Maelove was first reported missing last January 25. She was last seen at around 5:00pm of January 24.
Last Thursday, January 28, her lifeless body was found buried on a muddy field near a sugarcane plantation with one of her feet protruding out of the mud. Prior to the discovery, residents nearby were complaining of foul smell. Police are investigating if the girl was raped noting the torn part of her underwear.
