The City Government of Gingoog formally honored the winner of its Search for the Oldest Living Gingoognon in the person of 112-year old Mamahon Damitan Tinampay in simple ceremony held yesterday, January 25, 2021 at City Hall. Tatay Mamahon Damitan Tinampay was born on September 2, 1908 and a resident of Purok 5, Brgy. Kalipay.
Tatay Mamahon received P60,000.00 cash and a Certificate. His granddaughter Ms. Jenalyn Pantalita also received P5,000.00 cash.
The search which drew 20 participants was conducted by the City Tourism Office in celebration of the 60th City Charter Day Celebration which was held last July 2020. The ceremony was attended by City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa,Vice Mayor Peter M. Unabia and members of the city counciland city hall staff.
