Dunque Hill located in Upper Malubog in the Municipality of Manticao is the highest point in the western part of Misamis Oriental. A popular religious site during the Holy Week, it has since been called “Mt. Sinai”.
The top is more or less 8 kilometers from Barangay Tuod, the nearest populated village which is about 12 kilometers from the town proper. It is also near where telecommunication towers are built.

A marker is put up at the top as shown below.

A small chapel was also built onsite for religious pilgrims doing the “Station of the Cross” during Holy Week particularly on Good Friday.

The area is also very accessible but it’s quite far from the town proper and you need strong legs for the long hike.

Due to increased trekkers abd visitors, a large “nest” was put up at the site.

At certain times, the area is enveloped by fog which gives you a “heavenly” experience at the top.

At Mt. Sinai, you can view both sunrise and sunset…

Before going to the site, make a visit to the Municipal Tourism Office for proper guidance.
