Chelly de Guia Arancon, a Kagayanon working as an English teacher at Ajo Unified School in Ajo, Arizona, USA has been named OUTSTANDING FOREIGN WORKER IN SPECIAL EDUCATION by New York-based Team United Maharlika Foundation Inc., a Filipino-American community organization which aims to promote to the mainstream community Filipino culture and heritage.
In her Facebook post, Chelly humbly thanked the board of trustees of the foundation for seeing her worth. She also thanked her family, friends and colleagues and she will continue to share her vision and serve impeccably her students and the school in general. She also cited DepEd Cagayan de Oro City, (Bugo National High School), Philippine Southfield School, Bugo, Cagayan de Oro city, and Holy Cross High School, Camp Philips Bukidnon for molding her into what is today.
